International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees that may apply. Please note that we are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers such as USPS or UPS or customs processing.
Shipping times vary depending on the type of products in your order.
Please note that if your order contains both acrylic and non-acrylic products, your order may be held until all items are complete so everything can ship together.
Need your non-acrylic items sooner? If your order includes both product types, we may be able to ship the non-acrylic items separately upon request. Please contact us before placing your order to discuss available options. Additional shipping charges may apply for split shipments.
If you have a specific deadline or need your order sooner, please contact us before ordering, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
Yes. Each piece will arrive with paper or plastic protective covering on one or both sides to prevent scratches or damage during shipping. Be sure to remove this before use.
Shipping from mid-November through the holiday season can be chaotic. The best suggestion is to order early, and have patience. The carriers are overwhelmed at this time of year and orders can go on “tours of the U.S.” even though we’re shipping to a neighboring state. Priority mail, or alternate carriers, i.e. UPS, can be good alternatives during the holiday season, although NO carrier is immune to issues.
Because many of our items are custom-made, refunds or cancellations are not accepted on custom orders.
That said, our goal is for every customer to be completely satisfied. If something isn’t right, please reach out. We are happy to review concerns and do our best to find a fair solution when possible.
Unfortunately, custom orders can’t be returned, since they are one of a kind and not able to be re-sold. If an item can be re-sold, we will accept returns without a re-stocking fee at the buyers expense for postage.
Transparent material allows light to pass through - this means that you can actually see through the material. The exact amount of light that can pass through depends on the material, but remember that you'll always be able to clearly see through the material.
Any acrylic labeled as transparent, clear or see-through will allow you to clearly see objects through the material. Most Flake acrylics are see-through as the flakes are widely scattered in a transparent acrylic base. Chunky glitter acrylic can have clear/see through areas where the glitter is not as dense. Some glitter acrylic may have similar areas where the glitter is not as dense. Finally Frost acrylics will allow some light to pass through, but it is difficult to distinguish images behind the acrylic.
Acrylic can have slight thickness variation due to the manufacturing process. This is a normal result, and thickness variation can be experienced from sheet to sheet or even across a sheet.
Our acrylic comes either paper masked or plastic masked from the manufacturer. The paper or plastic mask should be used during laser cutting to prevent hazing of the acrylic and it helps protect scratches during mailing – USPS can be rough on packages.
Soaking pieces in plain water can help remove brown paper masking from clear acrylic. Do not use any cleaning or abrasive products, and wipe with a micro-fiber cloth.
Mirror acrylic, transparent acrylic—especially clear—and wood produce the crispest lines and finest detail when etched.
Other acrylics can also be engraved, but plain and glitter acrylics may melt more easily along the edges, resulting in a less defined, frosted finish.
Keep in mind that etched designs may be harder to see on darker mirror colors, such as royal blue, smoke, and teal.
Mirror acrylic is reflective on one side with a textured gray backing on the reverse. This gray backing is essential to achieving the mirror effect and should not be removed.
Our Color Chart showcases available acrylic and material options to help you choose the perfect fit for your project.

Be sure to inspect your order for any damage or defects as soon as possible before use. If you find a defect, please let us know within 3 business days of receipt and provide photos of the item and packaging as-is that documents the problem. We may request that you return the item to us for inspection of the material (we may need to contact our supplier), so please do not discard the items or packaging before the return process is complete.
Please contact us as soon as possible when an order hasn’t arrived as expected, or the carrier indicates the item is still in transit longer than expected. We will work with you to determine the best course of action. This can include submitting a claim with the carrier (either you or our team can file the claim based on your preference), re-purchasing the original order if the claim is being sent to you, or we can re-produce your original order if we file the claim under Jamie’s Jems. However, shipping will need to be re-purchased as carriers do not refund shipping associated with the lost order (We’re not making that up!).
